Ergon Energy Retail
Ergon Energy Retail has been a principal partner of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) since 2000. It was in Mount Isa that Ergon Energy Retail and the RFDS, both operating under a charter to serve regional and rural Queenslanders, announced the partnership that enabled Ergon Energy Retail's customers to make donations to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) through their electricity bills.

Twenty-three years on, the partnership continues to grow, seeing more than $18 million raised to help the RFDS provide emergency and routine medical care services throughout regional, rural and remote Queensland. All the funds raised assist with the RFDS aircraft replacement program, updating vital medical equipment and the RFDS Engineering apprenticeship program.
Ergon Energy Retail continue to support the Flying Doctor by engaging their customers and team members in a variety of ways including donation and workplace giving programs; supporting the annual RFDS Local Hero Awards; competitions to name an aircraft ('Cooee'); supporting the RFDS Community Open Days and helping to create awareness of the vital work of the Flying Doctor through a variety of Ergon Energy Retail's communication channels.
